Can my child request a specific coach or team? In our recreational leagues (U6-U10) we will make every effort to honor requests to be placed with friends, siblings, coaches, etc. Please indicate your request on the registration form.
What age group does my child fit into? U6 (Ages 5/6) U8 (Ages 7/8) U10 (Ages 9/10) U14 (born 8-1-92 to 7-31-93) or currently playing on a U14 team U15 (born 8-1-91 to 7-31-92) or currently playing on a U15 team U16 (born 8-1-90-7-31-91) or currently playing on a U16 team
Can my child play "up" in another age bracket? We will review each request on an individual basis. In our recreational leagues, we will permit a sibling to play "up" (or down) with their brother/sister for parental convenience. However, there must only be a 1.5-2 year age difference in order for the placement to be considered.
My child has never played soccer before. Can he/she still join? Our recreational programs are a great way for a child to get started into soccer, or for a more experienced player to keep up their skills during the winter. We believe that no player is ever beyond the need for training and practice! The Player Development Program is geared more towards the player that has already had "traveling" team experience. However, we will accept individual registrations based on experience and work to place you with a team. If you cannot be placed, a refund will be issued.
I'm interested in coaching my child's team. What do I need to do? Please indicate on the registration form that you are willing to coach, and include your tshirt size. We will contact you about a coaches meeting and provide you with all the information that you will need.
What does my child need for this league? All players are required to wear shin guards, soccer socks (long) and non-marking gym shoes. If your child has their own soccer ball, they should bring it. Make sure their name is clearly marked on the ball. U6-U8 players can use a #3 or #4 ball. U10 players can use a #4 or #5 ball. They can use their ball for training/practice, but a regulation futsal ball will be used for all game play.
